Our constant exposure to sun and pollution may take its toll on our skin. This is why we need an extra layer of protection to support the skin’s natural defense against these elements. A good way to intensify our skin’s barrier is to follow a day and night skincare routine.
For me, I follow the three basic steps of skin care, which is cleansing, toning, and moisturizing for my morning routine. As for night, I modify it a little. Along with cleansing, toning, and moisturizing, I also do peeling at least twice or thrice every month. This is to remove any remaining dirt or impurities that may clog the pores.
What Am I Using?
For my peel off mask, I’m currently using the Purifying Peel off Mask from Black Pearl Cosmetics Philippines by Sea of Spa. I accidentally discovered this while I was searching online. Originally, I would like to try it to see how it feels and mainly because I was curious about what the Dead Sea minerals could do to my skin.
The Peel Off Mask
Upon application, the mask felt cool and as you leave it on to wait until it’s dry, the mask tightens up. Although the instruction said I have to wait 15 to 20 minutes, I waited for around 25 to 30 minutes to ensure that it is fully dried up because wet peel off mask will just not work.
Stripping it off my face, I must say, is the most satisfying thing I’ve ever done. It peels off smoothly and I don’t feel any pain as I do it. Once you completely take it off, you get the feeling that your skin is a little more raw and fresher than before application. Right after removing the mask, I gently apply moisturizer all over my face as instructed on the box.
As I touch my face, it felt super soft and velvety, which I assume is good. I could totally tell that the pores have tightened up upon using the peel off mask.
What do I think?
I really love how gentle this product was on my skin. I’ve tried a few peel off mask before back when the charcoal mask is still a thing and this is by far the less painful of them. I also like that the product stays true to its word about reducing the visibility of pores and giving skin a more enriched look. I’m definitely satisfied with what I’m seeing right now. For that, I’m rating this product with two thumbs up.
Would I recommend it to others? Certainly, although I have to tell you that you may need to pay more for it since it’s fairly pricey as compared to other brands. You need not worry, though, because you’re getting exactly what you’ve paid for so it’s definitely worth every cent.
